Zango, a Pastor with COCIN released after 12 days of Boko Haram’s abduction

A pastor with the Church of Christ in Nations (COCIN) in Jos, Plateau State,  Rev. Polycarp Zango, has been released from the captivity of Boko Haram.

Pastor Zango was kidnapped by the insurgents on October 19, while on a journey to a Ministers’ conference in Gombe.

It was later that Boko Haram released a video clip, showing the cleric was in their custody.

This led to the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) declaring it would continue to pray for his release and other people in Boko Haram captivity.

Rev. John Hayab, the Vice-Chairman, Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, (Northern region), has now confirmed Zango regained his freedom on Friday night.
