Ukraine’s Dnipro set to be evacuated as battle epicentre shifts

Women, children and elderly have been asked to evacuate Dnipro in central Ukraine as the battle epicentre shifts from Mariupol to there.
Several missile attacks have been reported in Dnipro, located 500 km away from capital Kyiv, over the last few days. Military operations have intensified in the eastern and southern parts of Ukraine.
Russia has begun reinforcing its positions in eastern Ukraine, a US official was quoted as saying by Reuters. On March 29, Russia announced a change in strategy, saying it would scale down military activities around Kyiv and Chernihiv and focus instead on eastern regions.
Meanwhile, on Monday, it was reported that Russia was poised to take the strategic city of Mariupol, one of the worst affected by the war.

“Today will probably be the last battle, as the ammunition is running out. It is death for some of us, and captivity for the rest,” the 36th marine brigade of the Ukrainian armed forces said on Facebook.
