Thomas Tuchel, the Chelsea manager, has given reasons for his side’s Premier League 0-0 draw against Leeds United on Saturday afternoon.
Tuchel said the pitch was super hard to play on as both Chelsea and Leeds share a point each at Elland Road.
The German introduced Timo Werner and Callum Hudson-Odoi in the second half to go and get a result, but neither could provide the breakthrough as both teams hit the crossbar in the first half.
Edouard Mendy produced a fine save to deny Jack Harrison from close range in the second half.
Speaking after the game, Tuchel told BT Sport, “The pitch was super hard to play on.
“We had a couple of chances to go ahead, and in the end, of course, they trouble you and put pressure on you.
“There were enough chances, but I don’t want to be too harsh. It sometimes happens that it’s hard to score, and you miss big chances.”
Chelsea’s next game is against Atletico Madrid in the Champions League on Wednesday.
