Trump: President of Mexico refers Facebook boss as being arrogant

Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador, the President of Mexico on Friday accused Facebook chief executive Mark Zuckerberg of “arrogance” after the social network announced an indefinite suspension of US President Donald Trump’s accounts.
Recall that Zuckerberg said on Thursday that the ban was because of Trump’s “use of our platform to incite violent insurrection against a democratically elected government.”
Zuckerberg’s announcement came a day after Trump was locked out of all major social media platforms due to his false claims about the legitimacy of his loss to President-elect Joe Biden, and for inciting supporters who stormed the US Capitol.
According to the Mexican President, “I read the letter from the owner of Facebook and felt a lot of arrogance, speaking about its rules,” Lopez Obrador told reporters.
“And what about freedom and the right to information?”
President Lopez Obrador had earlier criticized what he called “censorship” by Twitter and Facebook.

He welcomed Trump’s promise of a smooth transition of power, calling it “good news.”
