Supreme Court Removal of Uche Nwosu as Imo AA Governorship candidate disorganizes his camp

The Supreme Court judgment which annulled the candidature of Uche Nwosu as the Governorship candidate of Action Alliance AA in the 2019 Imo Governorship election, has put his political camp into disarray and mourning mood.
On Tuesday the Supreme Court sitting in Abuja in a surprise ruling dismissed the Appeal Court judgment which declared that Nwosu is the Governorship candidate of AA.
As a result of the declaration by the Supreme Court, which is the highest Court in the country, Uche Nwosu as AA Governorship candidate has with immediate effect been rendered illegal and lacks authority.
It could be recalled that Uche Nwosu who is an in-law to former Governor Rochas Okorocha ran his Governorship election under AA and came second in the general election with Governor Emeka Ihedioha the winner of the election as declared by the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC.
Also immediately after the elections Nwosu joined some other Governorship candidates to challenge Ihedioha’s elections which has since been dismissed by the Tribunal for lack of merit.
At the moment Nwosu’s matter is at the Appeal Court where he is challenging the Tribunal affirmation of Ihedioha as the authentic elected Governor of Imo State.
But, with the current declaration by the Supreme Court which has now made it clear that Uche Nwosu was not a candidate of AA, it therefore means that his case in the Appeal Court in his capacity as AA candidate has already been lost.
The Supreme Court ruling has at the moment thrown his supporters into shock, as most of them are yet to recover from the judgment which has disorganized his chances of clinging on the litigation to parade as AA Governorship candidate.
