Soyinka reacts to Biden’s inauguration as US President

Wole Soyinka, the Nobel Laureate, has reacted to Joe Biden’s inauguration as the 46th President of the United States, U.S.

In his reaction, Soyinka said the US redeemed itself by rejecting the return of Donald Trump as President.

The Nobel Laureate spoke while appearing on Arise Television, last night.

Recall that Biden and his Deputy, Kamala Harris were sworn-in on Wednesday.

It was at the Capitol in Washington D.C. that Biden took his oath of office.

John Roberts Jr, the Chief Justice, administered the pledge at exactly 11:48 am E.T.

But while reacting, Soyinka stressed that the US has corrected the mistakes made four years ago by electing Trump.

According to him: “I feel honoured to be associated with the democratic forces of the United States for correcting the unbelievable error that they committed four years ago.
