An advocacy group, the Imo Concerned Citizens has held an important meeting with the Special Adviser to the Imo State governor on Rural Projects, Hon. Okay Udoh to discuss the issue of how they would contribute to the development of the state.
The meeting which was covered by ambrosymediainfo.com started at about 12 noon Thursday and had in attendance the Convener of the group Hon. Chike Devine and other State executive members who were present at the Odenigbo conference hall venue of the gathering.
In his opening remark, the Convener of the advocacy group, set up to promote good governance, Hon Chike Devine, congratulated Hon. Okay Udoh on his well deserved appointment as the Special Adviser to the governor on Rural Projects. He stated that the Imo State governor, Senator Hope Uzodinmma made the right choice by appointing him to that position.
According to him, ” the Imo Concerned Citizens ICC has resolved to work and collaborate with your office to carry out this most important assignment in the State”.
Speaking further Hon. Chike said, “Over the years the ICC a non partisan advocacy group for good governance has built a formidable structure in the 305 wards in Imo State and chapters outside the State with growing chapters in Diaspora”
In his response the SA Rural Projects, Hon. Udoh thanked the members of the ICC for coming up with such a noble Idea. He promised to partner with them in the rural projects that would be going on from time to time.
The gathering was rounded up with questions and answers session, which was the last agenda of the meeting.
