Popular Comedian, Uche Ogbuagu removed as Imo House Majority Leader

A well known Comedian, Uche Ogbuagu, representing Ikeduru state cconstituency in the Imo State House of Assembly has been ousted as the Majority Leader.

Paul Emeziem (APC – Onuimo), the Speaker, made the announcement on Thursday.

He was immediately replaced by Kanayo Njoku (APC-Owerri West) as the new Majority Leader.

According to the Speaker, the decision was taken at a caucus meeting of the party.

In his reaction to the removal, Ogbuagu, in a statement published by NAN, described Emeziem’s action as “comic”.

The Ikeduru representative wondered why the letter he wrote to the House leadership on Wednesday was disregarded.

He said: “I am surprised that the Speaker, Mr Paul Emeziem, decided to discountenance my letter to him yesterday, dated March 3, 2021 and read his ‘Comic letter of Removal’.

“There have been bombardment of calls and SMS to my phone lines by concerned Imolites and Houses across the globe to confirm the incidence.”

Ogbuagu finally disclosed that he was studying the development and would consult with the party’s leadership.
