Police parade coronavirus violators after arresting them at Lagos clubs

Over 200 COVID-19 violators have been paraded on Saturday by the Lagos State Police Command.
The paraded suspects were arrested on Friday during a raid on some clubs.
Among the locations they were arrested include, Lounge 38, Club Victoria and others.
Hakeem Odumosu, the Commissioner of Police, said the suspects will be arraigned soon.
According to him, many Lagosians were disregarding protocols announced to curtail the spread of coronavirus.
Odumosu said the attitude would have adverse effects on the state’s health status.
The Commissioner further reiterated the command’s commitment to enforce COVID-19 rules and the Federal Government’s 12 midnight to 4 am curfew.

He warned club owners to stop flouting government’s directives, warning that they risk prosecution and confiscation of their property.
