A plane has crashed in the city of Goma in the eastern part of Democratic Republic of Congo. The aircraft which is a passenger type was carrying about 17 passengers on board before the incident on Sunday.
The provincial governor’s office made the confirmation of the crash.
Already reports have indicated that there were several deaths resulting from the mishap.
According to Reuters reports, the aircraft which was operated by a company identified as Busy Bee, crashed during takeoff for a flight to the city of Beni, North Kivu.
The number of casualties was yet to be compiled as at the time of filling this report.
