Orlu crises: Governor Uzodimma again warns trouble makers

Senator Hope Uzodimma, the Governor of Imo State has again warned those causing trouble in Orlu.

The Governor issued the warning during a statewide broadcast on Monday.

He described those instigating the violence as militants, causing barbaric acts against the citizens leaving in the area.

Uzodimma further vowed to deal decisively with the perpetrators, stating that members of various security agencies have been fully deployed in the affected places on a 24-hour patrol, in order to calm the situation.

He assured law abiding Citizens of protection of their lives and properties, while calling on people from the Northern part of the country bringing in foodstuffs to continue as their safety is guaranteed.

Speaking further the Governor said, “We have directed the security agencies to fish out those perpetrating the dastardly acts on innocent citizens in the affected areas.

“I assure you that those responsible for these acts will pay for it”.

Recall that Governor Uzodinmma had earlierimposed a dusk-to-dawn curfew at the crisis-ridden Orlu LGA and neighbouring communities including Nkwerre, Ideato-south, Ideati-north, Njaba and Isu.
