Nigeria’s first female fighter pilot Arotile buried in Abuja

Tolulope Arotile, Nigeria’s flying officer, whose death generated a lot of controversy, has been laid to rest.
Her interment took place at the military cemetery in Abuja, amid tears from people who were present at the occassion.
Arotile who was a Nigerian Air Force fighter pilot was recently hit by a car driven by an ex-classmate in Kaduna and she died after sustaining head injury.
At the burial was the Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Abubakar Sadique; Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello and his wife; the House Committee Chairman on Air Force, Bala Ib’n Nalla and the family members of the deceased.
Arotile, the first female combat helicopter pilot of NAF, died just few months after her qualification’s success story.
Already NAF investigation had revealed that the deceased ex-classmate, Nehemiah Adejoh had no valid driver’s licence when the incident happened.
