Nigeria reports 479 fresh cases of COVID-19 in 21 states, FCT

479 fresh cases of coronavirus (COVID-19) has been reported by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC, in 21 states and the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.

This brings the total cases in the country since the outbreak of the virus, to 156,496.

NCDC made the announcement yesterday night while giving a report on daily cases and deaths via its verified Twitter handle.

The health agency report indicated that about 9 persons died in the last 24 hours due to complications from the dreaded virus.

Meanwhile, the Nigeria’s allocation of the first batch of 3.92 million doses of the Oxford-AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine arrived the country yesterday amid jubilation from Nigerians.
