Nigeria reports 121 new COVID-19 cases, 7 deaths, 1,066 recoveries

121 fresh cases of coronavirus (COVID-19) have been confirmed by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC,  in 13 states and the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.

This brings the total number of recorded cases in the country so far to 162,762.

NCDC made the announcement on Tuesday night while giving a daily report via its official website.

The health agency also said about 7 patients died of the COVID-19 complications in the last 24 hours, bringing the total fatalities so far to 2,056.

It further stated that no fewer than 1,066 patients were newly discharged after testing negative for the virus twice.

“Our discharges today include 977 community recoveries in FCT and 57 in Imo State managed in line with guidelines.

“Today’s deaths includes a backlog of data from FCT”.
