Nigeria National League gets sponsor, announces plans for live matches

The sponsor for the 2020/2021 Nigeria National League (NNL) season will be announced  within one month.

Sajo Mohammed, the CEO told the News Agency of Nigeria that the development would boost the competition and level of play.

He also announced plans to broadcast live matches to a global audience.

The NNL chief stressed that football is a serious business that requires funding.

“We have found an organisation that has indicated an interest in sponsoring the league.

“The company is knowledgeable about football and its benefits in the long run.

“I believe that in the next few weeks, they will be officially unveiled”, he said.

The 2020/2021 NNL season kicked off on February 13. There are 46 participating clubs.
