Nigeria confirms 80 fresh cases of COVID-19 in 11 states, FCT
80 cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC, in eleven states and the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.
The new figure brings the total number of recorded cases so far to 164,080.
NCDC made this known on Thursday night via a tweet on its verified Twitter handle.
The agency also announced the discharge of 15 patients, bringing the number of recoveries since the outbreak of the virus in 2020 to 154,285.
Meanwhile, following the number of recoveries, the total active cases in Nigeria now stand at 7,734.
