Nigeria confirms 74 new COVID-19 cases in 8 states, FCT
74 fresh cases of coronavirus (COVID-19) have been confirmed by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC, in 8 states and the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.
NCDC made the announcement on Tuesday night via a tweet on its verified Twitter handle.
The health agency also discharged 48 patients who have been successfully treated against the virus.
No death was recorded in the last 24 hours.
So far, the country has registered about 163,911 positive cases of COVID-19 with 2,061 fatalities while no fewer than 154,225 have recovered from the virus.
The tweet reads: “74 new cases of #COVID19Nigeria;
“Our discharges today includes 21 community recoveries in Akwa Ibom State managed in line with guidelines”.
