Nigeria confirms 71 fresh cases of COVID-19 in 9 states, FCT
71 fresh cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC in 9 states and the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.
This brings the total number of recorded cases of COVID-19 in the country to 163,652.
NCDC announced this on Friday night via a tweet on its verified Twitter handle.
The health agency recorded one death after many days of zero fatality.
So far, the agency has successfully treated about 154,073 patients while no fewer than 2,059 persons have died due to complications from the virus.
