Nigeria confirms 1,016 COVID-19 new cases as it records more deaths

Eleven patients died as a result of COVID-19 related complications in the last 24 hours, according to Nigeria Centre For Disease Control (NCDC) on Wednesday.
The health agency disclosed this via its Twitter account, adding that 1,016 new infections of the virus were also recorded in the country.
The NCDC said that the new infections were reported from 20 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT)
This brings the total number of COVID-19 cases across the country to 86,576, with 1278 deaths recorded.
