NCDC confirms COVID-19 death as it records highest infections figure
A total of 1,354 new infections of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in the country has been recorded by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) on Tuesday.
This confirmation was made by NCDC through its verified Twitter handle.
One death was also recorded in Nigeria.
The figure was the highest ever recorded in one day since the virus was first reported in Nigeria.
This latest figure is more than the 1,200 cases recorded across the country on Monday, confirming that Nigeria is experiencing a second wave of coronavirus.
The NCDC stated that the new infections bring the country’s total to 92,705.
The new cases were recorded from 20 States, including the Federal Capital Territory.
