More COVID-19 infections confirmed in Nigeria as active cases rise
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC has confirmed 84 fresh COVID-19 infections in 13 states as active cases rise to 7,578.
The cases bring the total number of recorded infections in the country so far to 163,736.
NCDC made the announcement on Saturday night in a post on its verified Facebook page.
The health agency’s new report indicate that about 27 patients have been discharged after testing negative twice for the virus.
So far, the country has recorded 154,098 recoveries while about 2,060 patients have died due to complications from the dreaded virus.
