As part of achievements in football, Lionel Messi has moved level with Xavi Hernandez as Barcelona’s record appearance maker in LaLiga, after he played in their 5-1 victory over Alaves on Saturday.
The Argentine Super Star matched Xavi’s tally of 505 league appearances for the club.
The 33-year-old will now break the record, when he plays against Cadiz on February in their next league fixture.
Sergio Busquets, who is still playing in the team sits fourth on the list with 399 appearances, behind Andres Iniesta.
Xavi also holds the record for most appearances for Barcelona across all competitions with 767, a figure Messi is just eight games short of.
