Messi makes revelation of two clubs he can never play for
Lionel Messi, the Barcelona captain, has vowed never to play for Real Madrid or Atletico Madrid.
The Argentine superstar almost forced his way out of Barcelona last summer and his current deal expires in six months.
This has led to more speculation about the 33-year-old’s next move in his career.
At the moment Messi has been linked with Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester City.
But he has made it clear two teams he would not consider signing for.
“It’s impossible for me to leave for Real Madrid or Atlético Madrid. I’ve always said I’d like to enjoy the experience of living in the United States. But I don’t know if it will happen or not.”
“If I ever leave, I would like to return to Barça and Barcelona. When I retire, I would like to return to the club to contribute my knowledge,” Messi said in quotes posted on Barcelona’s official website.
