Many rejoice as DSS finally releases activist Sowore
At last the Nigeria’s Department of State Service (DSS) has set free the convener of #RevolutionNow protest, Omoyele Sowore and his co-accused, Olawale Bakare.
This confirmation was made public by Sahara Reporters, which is a media organization owned by Sowore.
Recall that the Federal High Court in Abuja, has on Thursday ordered his release within 24 hours and to the joy of many, he was released just few hours after that court order.
Furthermore Justice Ijeoma Ojukwu equally gave an order for the DSS to pay the sum of N100,000 to Sowore, for refusing to release him on bail despite two court orders to that effect.
The judge consequently adjourned the trial of the case brought against them by the Nigerian Government until December 6 for continuation.
It could be recalled that following his alleged call for a nationwide revolution, Sowore was arrested and has since been in DSS custody, even after the court had ordered for his release.
