Man in trouble as court remands him for allegedly raping 17-year-old daughter
A 52-year-old man, Sunday Anthony, has been ordered by an Ikeja Chief Magistrates’ Court to be remanded in Kirikiri Correctional Centre for allegedly raping his 17-year-old daughter.
Anthony, who resides on Ibro St, Yewa Estate, Isawo Road, Agric Ikorodu, Lagos, was charged by the police with rape.
Magistrate M.O. Tanimola, gave the order following a motion moved by the Prosecutor, ASP Victor Eruada, that the matter is referred to the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) for legal advice.
The magistrate, who did not take the plea of Anthony, also directed the prosecutor to duplicate the file and send it to the DPP for advice.
Tanimola, therefore, adjourned the case until Nov. 12.
Eruada had earlier said that Anthony committed the offence sometime in January and March at his residence.
