Katsina receives 92,370 doses of Modena COVID-19 vaccine
92,370 doses of Modena COVID-19 vaccine has been received by Katsina State.
The vaccine arrived the Musa Yar’adua International Airportplane at about 8.14 pm Thursday night.
At the airport to take the delivery of the vaccine was the State Commissioner for Health, Yakubu Danja, and his entourage comprising of the Permanent Secretary of the ministry, Dr. Kabir Mustapha, as well as the Executive Secretary, State Primary Health Care Agency, Dr. Shamsudeen Yahaya, among other staff of the agency.
Other items received along with the vaccines include 38 computers, QR code syringes, among other items.
The Commissioner disclosed that with the arrival of the vaccines, the second phase of the COVID-19 vaccination will commence by next week and the focus will be on vaccinating those from 18 years and above.
