Information Minister, Lai Mohammed gives main reason terrorists attack schools

The government of Nigeria has decried the incessant attacks on schools in the Northeast alleging that students are being abducted to embarrass the government and inflict damage on the credibility of Nigeria.
Lai Mohammed, Minister of Information and Culture, disclosed this while featuring on a Special Forum of the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN).
The minister made it clear that terrorists were after soft targets deliberately to attract global concerns.
“These are all terrorists who want to embarrass the government and catch the attention of the entire world.

“The psychology is to inflict the most serious damage on the credibility of a country, giving the impression that if you cannot protect the most vulnerable in the country, such government is incompetent,’’ he said.
Recall that over 300 students were abducted from a Government Science Secondary School in Kankara, Katsina State and they were later released following intervention from security agents.
