Government of Kano destroys expired N90m worth of drugs
Expired products worth N90 million at various markets in Kano state have been destroyed by the state’s Primary Health Care Management Board.
The board’s Public Relations Officer, Mr Maikudi Marafa, disclosed this in a statement on Monday.
Dr Tijjani Husain, the Executive Secretary of the board, represented by the Director, Environmental And Public Health, Alhaji Usman Rabiu led the team that destroyed the expired products.
Drugs, baking powder, minerals and other exotics drinks were part of the destroyed expired products.

The exercise, according to Hassan was conducted after receiving a court order.
The board advised residents to be vigilant in order to avoid the use of expired products, NAN reports.
He added that the exercise aimed at protecting public health against hazardous products, especially with the coming of the Ramadan.
