Giving a helping hand to others, the amazing lizard example
This interesting true story about a lizard happened in one of the Asian countries.
There was a particular building in the area which needed renovations due to old age, but in order to renovate the house, the man doing the work had to break open the wall.
As a matter of fact, houses there do normally have a hollow space between the wooden walls.
So while tearing down the walls, the man discovered that there was a lizard stuck there, because a nail from outside had been hammered into one of its feet.
When he saw it, he felt pity for the lizard, but at the same time was very curious.
On checking the nail, he found out that it was nailed 5 years ago, when the house was initially built.
Further investigation by him indicated that the lizard had survived in such a position for 5 yrs.
In fact, it seemed too impossible and mind-boggling for such a living thing to survive in a dark wall partition for 5 years without moving.
He wondered how the lizard had survived for that long without moving a single inch, since its foot was impaled!
The amazing discovery made him to stop his work, in order for him to take time to observe the lizard and know what it has been doing, and how it has been eating
Later, not knowing from where it came, appears another lizard, with food in it’s mouth.
Ah! He was stunned and touched deeply.
For the lizard that was impaled by the nail, another lizard had been feeding it for the past 5 years.
Could you magine? It has been doing that untiringly for 5 long years, without giving up hope on its partner.
Imagine what a small creature can do, that a creature like us, blessed with a brilliant mind cannot do.
The big lesson here is for us never to abandon our loved ones, no matter how difficult the situation may be.
Do not for any reason turn your back on people because they are in difficulty.
Furthermore, do not see yourself as more intelligent or the best.
You may be a bit luckier today but life is uncertain and can change things tomorrow.
A Moment of negligence might break the very heart which you loved against all odds.
Always remember that it takes a moment to break, but an entire lifetime to make up.
God created space within our fingers so that we can hold hands.
Be there for somebody today as someone will be there for u tomorrow.
