Fuel hike: NLC ready for showdown issues two-week ultimatum to FG

The organized labour in the country, the Nigeria Labour Congress has finally issued a two-week ultimatum to the Federal Government to reverse the hikes in electricity tariff and the fuel pump price.

The labour union threatened that if the ultimatum is not adhered to as expected by majority of Nigerians, a nationwide unrest will the next action.

The NLC handed down the warning at its Central Working Committee meeting which ended Wednesday evening.

Ayuba Wabba, the NLC President, who read the communiqué said the ultimatum takes immediate effect, warning that it would mobilize its members nationwide for protest after September 28.
