Foreign Affairs Minister Geoffrey Onyeama contracts COVID-19 as his test result returns positive
Geoffrey Onyeama, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, has tested positive for coronavirus.
Confirming his condition in a tweeter message on Sunday, Onyeama said his result came back positive after a fourth test. He further disclosed that he was on his way to an isolation center.
According to him, “Did my fourth COVID-19 test yesterday at the first sign of a throat irritation and unfortunately this time it came back positive. That is life! Win some, lose some.
“Heading for isolation in a health facility and praying for the best. #StayHomeSaveLives #COVID19 #PTFCOVID19.”
At the moment Nigeria has recorded over 36,000 cases with 778 fatalities.
