Fire outbreak guts a massive shopping mall in Abeokuta

Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital recorded a building fire incident, which affected a shopping mall.

The fire was said to have started on Sunday morning.

It was a thick black smoke which was coming out of the building that attracted the attention of locals.

What might have triggered the fire was yet to be ascertained as at the time of filling this report.

The high rise shopping mall, located in Totoro area of Abeokuta metropolis, reportedly went up in flames, destroying goods worth millions of Naira.

The burnt building is a place where electronics, electrical appliances and other households items are being sold.

However, there is calm in the vicinity as operatives of the Ogun State Fire Service have succeeded in putting out the fire.
