Ex-VP, Atiku reportedly receives coronavirus vaccine

Atiku Abubakar, the Former Vice President, has received COVID-19 vaccine.
Dele Momodu, a Media Mogul, confirmed this on his Twitter page.
In the post displayed by Momodu, Atiku was seen taking Pfitzer COVID-19 vaccine.
The tweet by Momodu’s read: “ Former Vice President, The Wazirin Adamawa, ALHAJI ATIKU ABUBAKAR receives Pfizer Covid-19 jab vaccination.”
At the mement, Nigerians have been informed by the National Primary Health Care Development Agency (NPHCDA) that the country hopes to purchase 42 million doses of COVID-19 vaccine soon.
Faisal Shuaib, the Executive Director, NPHCDA, on Tuesday said the vaccine would be obtained through the global COVAX scheme.

Shuaib noted that the initial dose was part of Nigeria’s plan to safeguard 40 per cent of the population in 2021.
