The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC, has confirmed the recovery and discharge of 1,585 COVID-19 patients, while the active cases in the country have dropped to 7,700.
This brings the total number of recovery since the outbreak in Nigeria to 153,630.
NCDC made the announcement on Tuesday night while giving reports on new cases via its official website.
The health agency has also confirmed 58 new cases of the virus in 11 states and the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.
The development brings the total number of recorded infections in the country to 163,388.
Meanwhile, no fewer than 2,058 patients have died of COVID-19 communications since February 2020.
