Carlo Ancelotti reveals fear of Real Madrid players about Messi

Carlo Ancelotti, the Everton manager, has revealed that Barcelona ace, Lionel Messi gets Real Madrid players scared.

Ancelotti, who is also a former Real Madrid boss, said he never spoke to his [Real Madrid] players about Messi to avoid them getting scared during an encounter with Barcelona.

He managed Real Madrid from 2013 to 2015 and during that period, Messi scored 3 goals and provided 2 assists against Los Blancos.

“When I was at Real Madrid and we played many times against Leo Messi — who was one of the best opponents — I never spoke to the players about Messi otherwise they would get scared,” Carlo Ancelotti told Liverpool Echo.

Recall that the current Everton manager, Ancelotti won the UEFA Champions League and the FIFA Club World Cup with Real Madrid.

Among the clubs the Italian has managed include Reggiana, Parma, Juventus, Milan, Chelsea, Paris Saint-Germain, Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, Napoli and now Everton, and has won domestic titles in Italy, England, France, Spain, and Germany.
