Ango Abdullahi under attack by a Biafran group over his comments on Igbos
The Chairman of Northern Elders Forum, NEF, Prof Ango Abdullahi has been warned by the group, Biafra Nations League, BNL to desist from making inflammatory comments against the Igbo.
While visiting the Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike, on a courtesy call, Abdullahi claimed that violence against northerners in the South is perpetrated by Igbos.
But in his address to reporters in Oyigbo Local Government Area of Rivers State on Wednesday, the National Leader of BNL, Princewill Chimezie Richard lamented that Igbos have suffered violence in the hands of Northerners from the 1950s till date and have decided not to form the “siddon look” habit any longer.
Richard accused Northern Elders Forum of sponsoring violence against the Igbos in the north to advance and promote their interest in the Nigerian State.
“But when the easterners rise against them, either in the form of retaliation or a revolt they will cry foul. Do they want us to be begging whenever they attack us without mercy in the north? Not this time.
“Anything they do to the Igbos and other Biafran tribes in the north we will retaliate, he needs brain surgery.”
