14 aides of Okorocha in court over breach of peace, others

The Police Command of Imo State has finally arraigned 14 aides of the former Governor of the state, Rochas Okorocha in a Magistrate Court, Owerri.

The Police arraigned them before Justice B. U Adikaibe on a seven-count bordering on breach of peace, and destruction of government seal at Royal Spring Palm Estate, Owerri, on Sunday.

Recall that the former Imo State Governor was arrested and detained by the police on Sunday night.

Okorocha who is also a Senator representing Orlu zone at the National Assembly was arrested for allegedly breaking into the sealed spring palm apartments and hotels said to be owned by his wife, Nkechi Okorocha.

But in his reaction, Orlando Ikeokwu, the state Police Public Relations Officer disclosed while speaking on Channels Television’s programme, Sunrise Daily, on Monday that the command had released Rochas from its custody.

But Okorocha in his reaction after his release accused Governor Hope Uzodimma of ordering his arrest.
